The time has come my friends. I’m retiring from @theundergroundopenmic ! Every Monday on my walk home from hosting, I used to take a blurry selfie and text it to my friends saying “Another good mic! Not a goober in the bunch!” I am so impressed and humbled by every person who comes to the mic, gets on stage, and bares their soul a little. This open mic has brought me so much love and community in ways I couldn’t imagine. It helped me find my people and my voice. But, alas, it is time for me to move on. I love y’all so much. My last hosting gig is 4/20, come say hey and help me retire in a cloud of weed smoke.
