Ask yourself - How often do we stop at the grocery store without thinking twice?
How often do we grab a snack, run errands, or step outside knowing we’ll make it back home?
For so many immigrant families in our community, that basic freedom has been stolen by fear.
Because of ICE, parents are afraid to shop for groceries. Afraid to drive to work. Afraid to take their kids where they need to go. Afraid that something as ordinary as buying food could turn into family separation.
No one should have to choose between feeding their family and risking detention.
At The Umbrella Brigade, we see this fear every day. That’s why mutual aid matters. That’s why we keep showing up. That’s why we keep each other fed.
And we will say it again and again:
#FUCKICE
Because our communities deserve dignity, safety, and the right to exist without fear.

If you aren’t familiar with TUB (@theumbrellabrigade ), they are a grassroots group here in Central Florida dedicated to mutual aid and community defense. They focus on showing up for our neighbors through everything from reproductive rights advocacy to providing direct resources for those who need them most.
I am so happy to be working with them to support their mission! You can grab “Abolish ICE” keychains and “We Love Our Immigrant Neighbors” yard signs right at their market.
The market is such an amazing local resource. Whether you’re in a spot where you need to stop by and use the market, or you’ve been looking for a place to drop off donations to help out, this is the spot to do it. 🧡
How to get involved:
• Stop by the Market: If you need to pick up some essentials, please come through!
• Drop off Donations: They’re always looking for items to keep the market stocked for our neighbors.
• Support with Merch: Grab a keychain or a sign while you’re there to help fund their mutual aid efforts.

Spice up your life 🌶️✨
Huge THANK YOU to Penzeys Spices for blessing the TUB Market with an amazing donation of spices! Because nothing says community care like turning “what’s for dinner?” into “okay chef, we see you 👩🏽🍳🔥”
Y’all really understood the assignment—flavor, love, and a little extra sazón for our neighbors
Come shop, come grab your season, come thrive. Mutual aid but make it delicious 😌🍲
🥜 Peanut Butter Needed for the Market 🥜
Our market shelves are running low, and we are in need of peanut butter to help feed families in our community. This simple staple goes a long way — providing protein, comfort, and easy meals for kids and adults alike.
As families continue to lean on community support, every jar makes a difference. If you’re able to donate, we would be so grateful for your help keeping our market stocked and our neighbors fed. ❤️
Drop-off donations are appreciated and directly support local families accessing care through TUB. Together, we can make sure no one leaves empty-handed.

PLEASE SHARE- URGENT MUTUAL AID FOR A NEIGHBOR ❤️
One of our neighbors — a teacher in our community — is at risk of losing their car due to repossession.
This vehicle is their only transportation to get to work, provide for themselves, and continue showing up for others.
We are trying to raise $500 as quickly as possible to help keep them on the road.
Every dollar matters. If you’re able to contribute or share this post, it would mean so much.

There’s something special about gathering around the TUB Mesa 🌈✨
This is more than a table — it’s where we eat together, laugh together, check in on each other, practice self care, play games, and create memories rooted in love and belonging.
At the Mesa, everyone has a seat. We show up for one another, hold space without judgment, and remind each other that community care is powerful. In a world that can feel heavy, these moments of connection matter so much.
Thank you to every neighbor, friend, and community member who continues to pour into this space and make it feel like home. 🫶🏽

During these tough times, we are reminded that community is everything. 🤎
TUB has never just been about food, deliveries, or events — it’s about people showing up for one another again and again. It’s neighbors helping neighbors. It’s sharing resources, checking in, carrying each other through hard moments, and building something rooted in care.
We are so grateful to continue building community alongside the @thebackyardcollective777 , incredible grassroots organizations, volunteers, and neighbors who believe in mutual aid and collective care. Every meal shared, every market shift covered, every donation, every conversation — it all matters.
In a world that can feel isolating and overwhelming, community reminds us that we are not alone.
Thank you to everyone who continues to pour into this work and into each other. We couldn’t do this without you. 🫶🏽✨
We’re currently out of rice and beans — two of the most essential staples we provide to families every single week.
For many households, this is what helps stretch meals, feed kids, and get through the week with a little more stability.
When shelves go empty, families feel it immediately.
If you’re able to help, please consider donating today so we can restock these basics and keep food going out the door.
Every bag makes a difference. Every contribution helps a family.

LET’S RAISE TUB’s RENT FOR A YEAR
$20.26 AT A TIME
Our community has built something powerful through TUB: a space rooted in care, mutual aid, and showing up for one another when it matters most.
Today, we’re asking our community to show up once again.
Our campaign goal is $8,200 to secure our office space for the next year and expand the Delivery Program that so many families rely on.
And here’s the beautiful part: we can get there together.
If 405 people give just $20.26 each, we will reach our goal.
That’s it.
A collective act of care.
A small contribution multiplied by community.
This office is so much more than four walls.
It’s where we organize deliveries for immigrant families who cannot safely leave their homes, sort food and household essentials, coordinate volunteers, and build the networks of support our neighbors depend on every week.
Securing this space means protecting the heart of this work. It means keeping our doors open, strengthening our mutual aid efforts, and reaching even more families facing hardship.
TUB has always been powered by people who believe that community care is not charity — it’s solidarity.
So we’re asking:
Can you be one of the 405?
Give $20.26. Share this campaign. Invite others to join.
Together, we can raise the rent, secure our home for another year, and keep building the kind of community where no one is left behind.
Let’s raise the rent : $20.26 at a time.
