I was so excited to meet my baby.
But I had no idea how beautiful, challenging, and exhausting it would be.
At first, I wished someone had told me how hard it would feel—
but then I realized, even if they had, you can’t really understand until you’re in it.
Waking up drenched in sweat.
Crying at everything.
Feeling overwhelmed and bone-deep exhausted…
all while staring at this absolutely perfect little human you created.
Looking back, I know there was no way to truly prepare.
But the best gift I received was the support of my community of mommas—
who reminded me this season wouldn’t last forever.
Who validated my hardest moments.
Who gave me hope for brighter days ahead.
