Pencil in a Berkshires summer. 📌
Field Farm in Williamstown @fieldfarm_thetrustees just got even more reason to visit: "Peristyle II" (1966) by George Rickey (1907–2002) has been installed on the property, on loan from the George Rickey estate through 2027. The kinetic sculpture is a series of vertical stainless steel lines that sway with the wind into random, mesmerizing waves of motion — one of Rickey's finest works of the era, in conversation with his "Eight Lines" (1963) at Field Farm's Folly and "Three Lines" (1964) in the deCordova collection.
While you're there: more than 4 miles of trails across 316 acres, 13 permanent sculptures on a self-guided tour, sweeping views of Mt. Greylock, and a stay at our mid-century modern B&B if you want to make a weekend of it. Nearby: the Clark, MASS MoCA, and Williamstown Theatre Festival.

Where land meets sea, wildlife thrives. At the northern tip of Nantucket, Coskata-Coatue Wildlife Refuge stretches across 1,117 acres of barrier beach, salt marsh, dunes, and one of the largest red cedar maritime forests in New England. It's a haven for shorebirds, raptors, seals, crabs and the seasonal visitors who pass through with the tides. Swipe through to meet a few of the locals.

What does a good day look like to you?
This May, we're joining @mentalhealthamerica in marking Mental Health Awareness Month. This year's theme, "More Good Days, Together", is a beautiful echo of why our properties exist in the first place. 🌿
For nearly 135 years, The Trustees has worked to keep open the kinds of places that quietly support those good days: a coastal trail, a working farm, a shaded garden, a mindfulness walk. Places to rest, to gather, to breathe, together. We hope you'll join us out there this month, however a good day looks for you. 💚
