Music lovers, lend us your ears! The Tower Quartet is hosting a truly unique concert experience: “Valse Impressions.” Forget the swirling gowns and grand ballrooms – this is a night to explore the unexpected side of the waltz.
Prepare yourself for a journey where the classic waltz gets a modern twist. Each piece on the program takes familiar elements and spins them into something fresh and surprising, with swirling melodies, unexpected harmonies, and a lot of musical intrigue.
Here’s a peek of the program: • String Quartet No. 1 by Marcus Overacker, where the 3rd movement waltz takes on a “Blasé” form • Dmitri Shostakovich’s powerful String Quartet No. 2 in A major, Op. 68, who’s third movement “Valse” takes on a spooky vibe • Edvard Grieg’s String Quartet No. 1 in G minor, Op. 27, a composition that reimagines the scherzo form with fiery passion and intensity
This is a concert for those who appreciate a fresh perspective on classical music. Don’t miss your chance to experience these captivating “Valse Impressions”!
