🙋🏽♀️A tiny bit about The Tiny Tassel 🩷 Whether you just discovered our brand or you’ve supported since the beginning, i’m so grateful for you! I started this dream of mine nearly 9 years ago out of frustration from not feeling valued and seen in shops in Charleston, and the desire to spread joy through colorful & accessible designs. Over the years the brand has evolved to offer our handmade tassel jewelry to exclusive clothing designs by my mom + intentionally curated brands from BIPOC female founders, and even Downtown Charleston’s only balloon shoppe! TTT is so much more than just selling cute things. This brand has changed my life and so many others! It’s allowed us to create a healthy work environment that empowers and nurtures our team. It’s allowed us to be generous in our community and beyond. It’s allowed us to remind customers of what it’s like to receive exceptional customer service. I can go on and on! My vision for this brand is to continue for years to come, creating designs that you can’t live without all while creating a sustainable business that our team & customers can truly feel supported by! In order to sustain the business, we need your support now more than ever! Our sales have been down this past year and in part it’s because I chose to go against the norm and continue at a rate of burnout. I chose to slow down when society said speed up, and now we’re back with new designs and a pace we can sustain. Keep shopping small, keeping being intentional with your spending & support. 🙋🏽♀️🩷I share this not to just show our very cute, very joyful shop but to also shed light on the fact that we’re one of very few BIPOC owned businesses located in downtown Charleston, SC and my dream is to see more and more join me and reclaim this space. Owning a brick & mortar has its ups and downs of course but being able to create an inviting place for everyone to feel welcome and filled with joy is so important to me! Historic Downtown Charleston, Spring Street especially, used to be filled with Black owned businesses & i’m grateful for the stories shared + hopeful that our shop will be a catalyst to encourage others!
