Soul Revue, a new body of work by Nathaniel Sheppard III, opens 26 July at Flood House Studios.
The exhibition is a conversation between two important voices in Johannesburg’s print landscape: Nathaniel Sheppard III and Flood House. Both are grounded in process, experimentation, and the politics of image-making.
Rooted in Nathaniel’s collage-based practice, Soul Revue features a series of watercolours and screen prints that move through personal archive, collective memory, and the textures of sound and language.
As part of the show, Flood House is publishing two new screen prints by Nathaniel.
It is a visual mixtape, a studio session, a memory printed and reprinted.
