Last week, we participated in the 18th Global Shea Alliance (GSA) Annual Conference in Accra #Shea2026, where we engaged alongside other stakeholders in the shea sector, around the theme "Beyond Borders”.
We were also delighted to welcome the Nigerian delegation led by the Honourable Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Senator John Owan Enoh and the Honourable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, to our exhibition stand, where we showcased our origination, sustainability and best-in-class processing facilities in the shea value chain.
At the event, our Head of Sustainability, Yosola Onanuga, who was newly inaugurated into the GSA Executive Committee, presented TGI's sustainability transformation journey, alongside other panellists, on the theme "Sustainability in Action."
Our team, alongside the Nigerian delegation, held engagement sessions with the President of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama, the Vice President, Jane Opoku-Agyemang and other private sector players in the region.
We will continue to focus on strengthening local value chains, supporting agro-processing, and contributing to the development of a more competitive and sustainable shea industry in Nigeria.

Every good day starts with how we show up for ourselves and for each other.
In line with Mental Health Awareness Month, themed “More Good Days, Together,” we are reminded that well-being is a shared responsibility.
Creating more good days starts with supporting one another, fostering open conversations, and building a workplace where people feel seen, heard, and valued. Through initiatives such as our wellness wind-down sessions, webinars, fitness walks, and panel discussions, we continue to create spaces that encourage connection, balance, and open dialogue around mental well-being.
Because a stronger workplace begins with healthier, supported people.

Last week, our Vice Chairman, Mr Farouk Gumel, delivered a paper at the 75th Nigerian Army Resource Centre Monthly Lecture Series on Inclusive Economic Growth: A Panacea to Addressing Security Challenges in Nigeria.
He highlighted the link between economic exclusion and insecurity, noting that long-term stability depends on expanding access to productive opportunities, particularly for Nigeria’s growing youth population and rural communities.
He highlighted the risks of an underutilised workforce, stressing that when large segments of the population remain economically disengaged, the consequences extend beyond livelihoods to broader social outcomes.
Drawing on TGI’s experience, he outlined the Group’s approach to inclusion through local sourcing, smallholder integration, and employment-led value chains, especially in rural communities.
He emphasised that inclusive growth is not only an economic objective but a strategic priority for national security.

Today, organizations across the Globe are commemorating World Day for Safety and Health at Work, themed “Good psychosocial working environments: A pathway to thriving workers and strong organizations.”
It is yet another opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to creating a workplace where our people feel safe, supported, and valued.
Better systems, safer people and stronger outcomes, these are the standards we’re setting.

In recognition of World Orphans Day, marked by the Worldwide Organization for Charity (WOC), we extended our support to children at Little Saints Orphanage through our philanthropic arm, TGI Cares Foundation, with donations of essential food and home care products.
Days like this are a reminder of the realities many children face, from parental loss caused by conflict, displacement, disease, and poverty, and the shared responsibility to support their well-being in practical ways.
Our delegation was received by the Founder, Rev. Mrs Christiana Bamidele George, the Director, Temitayo Benson, and other members of the administrative team.
At TGI Group, we believe every child deserves a safe, supportive environment and the opportunity to thrive. We remain committed to playing our part, not just through giving, but through continued advocacy for policies that protect and uplift vulnerable children.
