I was bouncing between behind the lens and right in the middle of it, basically dancing my way through the room while trying to capture everyone 😂
And Studio A HTX… that shop is beautiful.
Being around artists like @arkohs_guerrero and his amazing crew, the level of talent in that space was insane… and getting to catch everyone outside of the booth, just enjoying the night, made it even better

50 years later and still making history 🎥✨
From the Texas Tattoo Convention in Houston, I was there capturing pieces of it all through a social media lens, just taking it in and learning as I went.
Getting to spend time around Billy Tinney and Tammy, hearing their stories and feeling the history behind everything they’ve built was unreal. 54 years with Easyriders and 35 years with Tattoo Magazine, he’s helped shape how tattoo culture has been seen for decades. I also got to capture moments with Jacci Gresham, the Queen of New Orleans, a true pioneer.
Working alongside Tara Ward, Billy’s main assistant and photographer, ended up being one of the best parts of the whole weekend. From the moment we met, we just clicked and moved through everything together like we’d been doing it forever.
Come to find out, she’s been featured in Tattoo Magazine multiple times and has been around some of the best in the industry… and I had no idea who I was working with at first. Lo and behold, I’m side by side with someone who’s been deep in this world, and she turned out to be such a huge source of knowledge. She was telling me all the little things, helping me navigate everything, and honestly just made the entire experience that much better. I was really honored to have her on my side through it all.
And getting to see Belen Villarreal bring Billy’s photography to life with her display was such a moment. She did an amazing job and it was really cool to witness that in person.
So grateful I got to be part of this, learn from everyone, and capture these moments.
Can’t wait to do it again 🖤
