“I don’t know what happens next.”
That’s the reality for thousands of Floridians if ADAP isn’t fixed.
12,000 people depend on this program to stay on HIV medication. A temporary solution is in place—but it expires June 30.
We cannot let that happen.
If you live in Florida, take action now.

Today is a day of deep reflection as I celebrate my father’s birthday in heaven. 🕊️
Looking at this photo of us takes me right back to the beginning. My dad, Allen Lynn Davis, was the man who shaped my soul. He was the one person I truly understood, and in return, he gave me the greatest gift a son could ask for: unconditional acceptance and a friendship that I’ll cherish for eternity.
He was my coach and my cheerleader, but most importantly, he was my guide. He told me, “Son, promise me you will never stop doing music. Never stop singing.” He knew that my voice and my mission to save lives were bigger than just me.
I’m keeping that promise, Dad. Even though things have been hard—even though the inheritance meant for me and my brothers and sisters was stolen by others—I am not shaken. I know that you and God are watching from the heavens. I truly believe that you are in the spiritual realm fighting the battles I cannot see, ensuring that justice is served and that what belongs to us is restored. You told me I would never have to worry if I stayed focused on my purpose, and I’m standing on that word.
Thank you for getting to know me. Thank you for believing in me when the world didn’t. I’m singing for you today and every day.
Happy Heavenly Birthday, Daddy. I love you and I miss you more than words can say. 🎂✨🎤

I’ve been living with HIV for 21 years. This medication is not a budget line item—it is my life.
Last Friday, at the Jacksonville Health Department, I stood alongside advocates to demand that we protect, fund, and expand ADAP. We were there fighting for our lives, and we will not be silent. Access to medication is not a privilege; it is a right.
My name is Lorenzo Davis.
I have been living with HIV for 21 years.
For 21 years, I have taken life-saving medication that keeps me healthy, keeps my viral load undetectable, and keeps my community safe.
And for many of those years, ADAP has helped make that possible.
Let me be clear — this is not a line item in a budget.
This is not a political talking point.
This is survival.
Without ADAP, HIV medication can cost up to $4,000 a month.
That’s $40,000 to $50,000 a year.
Tell me — how many people here can afford that out of pocket?
Defunding ADAP doesn’t just cut funding.
It cuts stability.
It cuts prevention.
It cuts lives short.
When someone loses access to medication:
Viral loads increase
Drug resistance can develop
Transmission risk rises
Emergency rooms fill up
This is preventable.
I stand here not only as an advocate, but as someone who has depended on this program to live.
ADAP ASAP is about urgency.
It’s about action.
It’s about amplifying the voices of those who may not have a microphone.
We are here with AHF and advocates across this country to say:
We will not allow treatment interruptions.
We will not allow silence.
We will not allow lives to become collateral
damage.
Protect ADAP.
Fund ADAP.
Expand ADAP.
Because access cannot wait.
Thank you.

As someone who has personally relied on ADAP, this issue is deeply personal. Interruptions in HIV care increase viral load, risk drug resistance, and reverse decades of public health progress.
Florida is one of the states most impacted by HIV.
When ADAP is protected:
People stay in treatment
Viral loads stay suppressed
Transmission rates decrease
This is prevention in action.
Grateful to collaborate with @ahfsouth to fight for uninterrupted care across Florida.

Good Afternoon,
My name is Lorenzo Davis. I am an independent journalist, motivational speaker, performing artist, and a 21-year HIV survivor.
I am reaching out to share a developing advocacy initiative called ADAP ASAP, focused on protecting funding for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP), a critical component of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program.
ADAP provides life-saving HIV medication to hundreds of thousands of low-income Americans. Without it, treatment can cost up to $40,000–$50,000 per year — making access impossible for many.
As someone who has personally relied on ADAP, this issue is deeply personal. Interruptions in HIV care increase viral load, risk drug resistance, and reverse decades of public health progress.
Through ADAP ASAP, I am:
Amplifying the voices of those at risk
Rallying alongside AIDS Healthcare Foundation
Calling for immediate protection of HIV treatment funding
I would welcome the opportunity to:
Share my personal story
Discuss the broader public health implications
Provide insight into current advocacy efforts
Please let me know if you are available for an interview or would like additional materials.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

Florida ranks among the highest in the nation for new HIV diagnoses.
Thousands across our state rely on ADAP to access life-saving medication. Without it, treatment can cost $40,000+ per year.
We cannot afford setbacks in a state already heavily impacted.
Proud to stand with @ahfsouth to protect access and protect lives.

Florida is on the frontlines of the HIV epidemic in the United States. Now is not the time to weaken access to medication.
ADAP supports thousands across our state—and without it, treatment costs can exceed $4,000 a month.
Proud to rally and organize with @ahfsouth to protect HIV care in Florida.
Access cannot wait.

🌬️ OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO: BREATHE 🎶
The wait is over. I wrote this song for every person who has ever felt like the world was closing in. I wrote it for the fighters, the survivors, and the ones who refuse to be silenced.
This is "Breathe."
Why This Video Matters
I’ve been living with HIV for over 21 years. I am a survivor because of the lifelines like ADAP that we are fighting to protect right now. Without that support, I wouldn't be here to:
Lead my healing workshops, Baggage Claim Flight 825 and Flight 143.
Write my story, Lessons to be Told: Living in the World of Taboo.
Create the very music you are hearing right now.
🎥 The Moment
In this video, you’ll see the energy of our movement at the West Palm Beach Health Department. But most importantly, you’ll see me standing alone after the rally, performing this anthem in the very place where our lives are on the line.
We aren't just fighting for medicine; we are fighting for our right to exist and create.
"Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter." — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
WATCH, LIKE, and SHARE. Let’s make sure the world hears us. We’ve been here before, and we know we got this. Just breathe. ✊✨
