La Mezcla SF at the Brava Theater April 2025
What a moving experience watching @la_mezclasf Tap dancing is close to my heart as it is one the first dance styles I learned. The rhythms of Latin dancing mixed with tap was so instinctive. Dancers performed mostly acapella and the beats were energetic and exciting all throughout the show. The live music accompanying the dancers was just as electric. Female singers and musicians were also dancers. The talent on stage was immeasurable.
It also carried a message about the struggles of Latina women through racism, sexism and criminalization. A beautiful way of using art to send a powerful message.

I had so much fun hiding from Diego and Liz for their engagement photos! We got some epic shots in front of the Golden Gate Bridge and at the Palace of Fine Arts. It was magical and I was so happy for them and excited to show them all their great shots.

🤎🤍This journey of life has taken an unexpected upward curve. I have been learning so much of what makes me happy. Learning to be forgiving, life seems way more peaceful & fluid this way. Learning to grieve my losses faster, life seems to be filled with more opportunities that are better for me. Learning to nuture my emotional, physical & mental health, life seems to be easier to take on. It really takes a lot of self reflecting and many nights of me confronting my own demons to get here. Its interesting though, my demons turned out to be just me, me and my fears of my own unprocessed feelings. Its difficult, and still understanding the process, but to get to peace and happiness, I have to feel all my emotions... even the difficult ones. 🤍🤎
