Queer as in… unfolded as part of the LIVEBOX programme, bringing together a series of performances that moved across voice, sound, poetry, movement and performance. 🌈✨
Curated by Avril Stormy Unger, the programme brought together ten artists working across different forms and languages, each approaching queerness through their own lived experiences and practices.
Rather than trying to define anything, the programme held space for multiple ways of being, shifting between moments that were personal, political, quiet and expressive.
Supported by the Keshav Suri Foundation, this became one of the more layered and intimate parts of the festival, shaped as much by the audience present as by the artists performing.

Chutney Mary is a Goa-based DJ and multidisciplinary artist known for electrifying, genre-fluid sets, from ambient textures to bass-heavy grooves, bold, body-liberating and immersive. A former jazz singer and contemporary dancer, she brings a deep sense of musicality and movement to her performances, shaping the floor with rhythm and respite.
Her music draws from a wide range of producers, creating floors that feel open, porous and alive.

QRAVE (@qrave_official ) stretches out across twelve hours next Saturday, moving across two stages into full-night immersion.
We begin at 4 PM beside the Nuuaan (@nuuaan.goa ) poolside with Alina (@alinasengupta ), Bérod (@berodmusic ) and Lizzie (@elizabetharthur07 ) going B2B with Múdee (@kanishk.s.lamba ), soundtracking the sunset through fluid grooves, an arsenal of house music and more left-leaning selections made for easy movement as the evenings seeps into the night.
From 11 PM, the Main Room takes over with Æ:M (@i.aem._ ), bringing their deep, emotionally-charged pulse to the floor, Chutney Mary (@thestormfactory ) twisting the energy into stranger directions with bass-heavy pressure, while Zequenx (@zequenx ) drives the night deeper with textural hypnotic movement. With Terraspace (@aeshy.terraspace ) heading back to transform the room, we are ready to dance till the early hours of the morning.
Long Form is QRAVE in full stretch. Two moods, one party, no reset.

We hold astrology and tarot with care and gather in a shared love for these practices, with openness, curiosity and a little bit of magic!
With QRAVE’s Long Form, we’re opening the day and holding it strong through the night.
At 4pm, we start off at the poolside, so come easy and ready to cool off. This is music that sits with you & the spaces in between as we enter the evening. Nothing peaks too early.
We shift indoors at 11pm and the Main Room carries the night differently, with a sound that asks and gives more on our floor.
This is not a quick night. QRAVE Long Form leans into continuity, letting the day bleed into the night & allowing energy to build into delicate layers.
Arrive when you want and stay long enough to feel the shift.

This is a dream line-up and we spent days and days putting it together after many many iterations.
We also have @kuriously_enough whose work I am a huge fan of, doing the decor in both the rooms.. and @aeshy.terraspace has sent us something special for Bangalore..
