The Stop reached over 27,000 community members via our food bank last year.Â
In this video, youâll meet some of the people behind those numbers and see how our choice-based, dignified approach to food support makes a difference in their lives.Â
This holiday season, weâre working to raise $250,000 to ensure that no one in our community goes hungry. Your generosity helps provide healthy food and a dignified space where everyone belongs.Â

This year marked the 12th The Stop at Scaramouche dinner, where 100 guests gathered at Scaramouche Restaurant in benefit of The Stop.
With the generous support of CI Private Wealth and Stratus Vineyards, the evening unfolded with exquisite food, seamless hospitality, and an energy that was truly palpable.
Each dish was crafted with exceptional care, and in many ways, mirrored the same love and thoughtfulness that go into every meal we serve at The Stop.
Guests were invited into a moment of reflection as they heard from Neye Osakwe, Community Services Manager, who shared what it means to work on the frontlines, the importance of dignity in our services, the changing face of food insecurity, and the powerful sense of community that defines our programs.
It was a meaningful evening reminding us that beyond the table, this work is about connection, respect, and ensuring everyone has access to good food.
Applications are now open for The Stopâs 2026 Community Garden Programs đ±
Join us at the Green Barn or Earlscourt Garden to learn about gardening, grow food in community, and connect with others throughout the season.

This May, weâre raising $15,000 to ensure parents like Caroline have access to the food and care they need.
Caroline is a participant in Healthy Beginnings, The Stopâs perinatal program, which supports new and expectant parents who may be navigating challenges such as housing instability, mental health concerns, marginalization, single parenting, recent immigration, or language barriers.
Participants take part in educational workshops, share healthy meals, connect with other families, and receive nutritious food hampers and transportation support.

Thank you, Milestone Environmental Contracting Inc., for 10 incredible years of the Milestone Cup in support of The Stop Community Food Centre.
Â
This yearâs tournament at the Cwench Centre in Etobicoke brought together 56 players, fierce competition, and an even stronger sense of community, all helping raise $10,000 to support our neighbours with access to free, healthy food in Toronto.
Â
What began as a local hockey event has grown into a meaningful annual tradition rooted in generosity and collective action. Weâre deeply grateful to all the players, organizers, sponsors, and supporters who have made this milestone possible year after year. Your impact continues to be felt far beyond the rink.
Weâre moving outside! đż
Starting May 2, The Stopâs Farmersâ Market will be transitioning outdoors for the season â woohoo!
As construction continues around Barn 5, weâre adjusting our layout to keep the market accessible and running smoothly.
Youâll now find us spread across the Christie Courtyard and dog park area, where all of our vendors will be set up as we navigate this transition. As always, you can expect fresh, local produce and your favourite vendors â now in the open air!
Weâre so grateful to our incredible community â from vendors to shoppers â who keep the market thriving and support a healthy, local food system.
We canât wait to see you there đ
