Total Accord Fest is back June 3rd through 20th across San Francisco, with artists like Brijean and The Seshen plus a stacked local lineup. We’re breaking down all 13 shows and why they matter. On Sunday, June 7th, Media Meltdown and 4 Star Theater present a Total Accord night that feels like the festival turning itself inside out. Festival headliners The Seshen top the bill, with AroMa in support, plus drag performances from Mojo Carter, Piranha Psychotronica, and Kafkax, music videos from across the lineup, and a White Crate documentary premiere about the people behind Total Accord. The Seshen are a six-piece Bay Area band built around Lalin St. Juste and Akiyoshi Ehara. Their sound blends R&B, synth-pop, electronic music, hip hop, and indie influences into something fluid and hard to categorize, driven by synths, drum machines, live percussion, and layered vocals. It’s sleek but emotional, experimental but still rooted in groove. AroMa brings raw, high-voltage performance energy from Oakland. Their music moves between alternative rock, soul, funk, hip hop, and new wave, but the core is emotional intensity and live presence. We’ll be performing it for the first time next Friday, 1.16.26 along with sets from @chefleee @ritualsofmine and with live visuals from @mossmoths Now for the incoming sincere post: The world has been a dizzying place for a long time now. Filming a simple song like this with live instruments really felt like a breath of fresh air. With all of the chaos going on in the world and with so many forces pulling us away from our humanity and from each other, we’ve been feeling the urge to embrace what’s human, simple and real. There’s so much about music that extends beyond music itself. Part of what makes it special is the way in which it connects people to each other. Lately, we’ve been considering what it is that we care about regarding art, the ways in which we consume it, and how we value it. We want to be more present with art. We want art that feels like connection rather than algorithmic/mediated stimulus. We want to get lost in songs and notice the nuances of the emotions being transmitted. This is your loving reminder that music is a means of connecting with people. This is a reminder to reject loneliness, go to a show 🙂 and talk to a stranger about the show.
