After more than a decade of silence, our crew hit the ground running to revive water service at a long-vacant property. The goal was to Restore flow, replace the water line, and bring life back to the property.
What we found at the corp stop was a classic case of hard water buildup, layers of hardened minerals clogging the very spot meant to serve the flow. In regions with hard water, minerals like calcium and magnesium can gradually settle in pipes, forming crusty deposits that narrow passageways and choke off water supply on these smaller service lines.
The team carefully cleared the blockage and installed a new service line to ensure clean, unrestricted flow. What was once dormant is now fully functional!
It’s a reminder that time and nature never stop working, even underground. 🤙🏾

Our crew replacing 114 feet of 24” water main, a vital stretch that runs from one of our three local wells and feeds straight into the Gauge Canal.
This line plays a key role in how we manage water resources across the region, supporting credit exchanges and bartering between local agencies. It’s all part of maintaining a resilient and cooperative water network in the Inland Empire.
The Gage Canal, built between 1885 and 1889, played a crucial role in the development of the Riverside citrus industry by providing irrigation water. While primarily associated with Riverside, the canal also extends into Colton CA.
