I prayed for this. I prayed for you, @alexanderhoop . We prayed for her. 2 years in and a lifetime to go with the greatest gift ever. On 11/28/25 at 12:37am, we welcomed our rainbow baby, Harper Joan Monique Hooper. This was no easy journey but looking at Harper I am just in awe of God’s love for us. Thank you to everyone who shared their stories with us and prayed for us during the ups and downs. If you know me, you know the lack of a rulebook is definitely an adjustment 😂.

Happy 5 months Harper!! It’s hard to believe 5 months have gone by. I wasn’t prepared for time to move this quickly. God has truly blessed us. Loving you and being your mom is a prayer answered. Your little smile captivates me and speeds up time. We’re at a stage where I’m up at night just staring at you in wonder! Harper I love you to the moon and back and back to the moon and back andddd lol you get it mommy is obsessed!!!

This time last year, my closest friends and bestie cousins helped celebrate me getting married. I appreciate all they sacrificed to make sure I knew I could always count on them, still be fun and that girls run the world. A few of them had never met each other but that didn’t stop them from forming new bonds. The time we shared, the memories we made, I’ll never forget! I love you ladies so much! A few ladies couldn’t make it but I know home is where the heart is!

There is a lot of nonsense going on in reference to Spelman traditions and I’m here to say Our Whole School for Christ making A Choice to Change the World everyday won’t stand for it. Spelman brought me closer to God through sisterhood and service. Service to myself, my sisters and my community. None of us are perfect and I made HUGE mistakes in college. God provided me with sisters that forgave me and allowed me to forgive myself. I was truly able to love myself because they loved me flaws and all. Now yes, if you walk on the grass, wear a head scarf to the cafe, or aren’t early to convocation we will have a discussion lol. Spelman continues to open up doors for me and my family and I know only God ordered my steps down this path 🙏🏾 # Spelman09 #ohdontyouwish
