Day. Evening. Night. - personal project
Taking all the Spite Houses and putting them together on one colourful street. A simple story of three renders showing how it would feel to live on this street for a day.
Bright, colourful and inviting by day. Cosy evenings with twinkling fairy lights as a pink sunset blanket's the street. At night, the pitter patter of raindrops on car rooftops, while once resident is still awake, engrossed in their book.

The vehicles in my Spite House project play a secondary role but I couldn't go without giving them a post. They help tell the story of who lives in each Spite house. The vespa being the smallest and belongs to the most narrow house whereas the grey cars with their more plain, dull design belong to the tennant's of the grey apartments.

The third in my personal project. Pushing the design some more, this hous has a basement, bay windows and a terraced garden. Rocking a green and yellow combo, this house shows the owner is very proud of their hanging baskets and terraced garden. They love nature and painted their house a bright green to stand out on their grey, dull street.

Another spite House design for my personal project. Keeping the apartment blocks in tones of grey and allowing the spite house to burst with colour and character was the goal of this project. Even the cars are grey and boxy while the spite house owner rocks a striking blue vespa.

"Spite Houses" - personal project.
A spite House is a building constructed or substantially modified to irritate neighbours...they frequently sport strange and impractical structures.
I fell in love with this whole topic! Someone is so annoyed with another person they will build an outlandish structure to irritate someone else. The level of dedication to continue an argument made me want to create something.
Plus, these spite Houses have no formula. So they can be of any shape or size. They can be wedged into places they don't belong or used to block another person's view.
