CASTING CALL for VISCERIA 2 alt/goth femmes wanted for lead roles in short horror film, no experience required. “A champion steps forward to claim a divine, unholy prize from Visceria, the goddess of the flesh.” There will be blood There will be cannibalism There will be girl kissing Filming planned for November, around Kidderminster West Midlands, Expenses will be covered. The Roles Both roles require working with fake blood and on screen queer kissing. VISCERIA - The goddess of the flesh, responsible for maintaining sensation in mankind. With such power, Visceria lives a life of hedonistic, sado-masochistic extreme. Her followers are often split into two sects, those who worship the pleasure, and those who worship the pain. But her true followers understand one cannot exist without the other. Legend has it, Visceria was not born a goddess, nor was she the first of her name, but a penchant for cannibalism in her mortal life lead her to ingest her predecessor and gain their power. THE CHAMPION - A devout follower of Visceria, though not from birth. Raised like any other child, her eyes were opened when her and her partner (who unknown to the champion worshipped Visceria) were kidnapped by Visceria’s more sadistic followers. Surviving and killing her torturers, the champion reflected on the contrast in beliefs of Visceria’s followers. The Champion, understanding Visceria’s role in maintaining the balance of pleasure and pain, along with learning of her potential mortal origin, became obsessed with becoming her next champion, taking any step necessary. THE VISION - The film is intended to last only around 3 minutes for festival admissions. - We are drawing heavy influence from 70s and 80s horror, along with more recent psychedelic horror such as Mandy. - We are placing an emphasis on practical effects. - A stoner doom metal album come to life with a soundtrack to match.
