Inspired by Joan Didion's observation "We tell ourselves stories in order to live" which has been interpreted many ways, but I find the understanding that it means "We must delude ourselves that anything we do has any meaning at all if we want to stay alive" resonates the most with me. #songaweek. /track/didion
