As you wish, Genevieve and Wesleyπ« π°π
My heart is so full after watching one of my dearest friends and favorite people on earth get married yesterday! An intentional day, filled with traditions, both old and new, that was an honor to be present for.
A life full of love and giggles is in store for these two and I can't wait to see what happens next!
Love you both! ππ
I have a song to sing, oh πΆ
I wanted a little break after Iolanthe, so I said "yes" to being a cover for Elsie Maynard in Yeomen of the Guard which turned out to be a DIFFICULT role to grasp! LOL at me and my silly plans π
Many thanks to @mary_kettlewell who is an absolute doll to cover for and the very best cheerleader and my dear friend @samvinitsky who has been one of my OG G&S friends since HMS and a cherished colleague.
The final video is my favorite "mini Aria" in the score. It's the despair that Elsie feels after learning that she doesn't get a fairytale ending.
Yeomen is so unique, and puts their "opera" in "operetta" - hope you all can come to our final weekend of shows!

Happy Snow Day from Charlie Brown βοΈ
I have to give a lot of credit to Charlie for helping me rediscover the joy and beauty of winter. Because of him, I regularly play in the snow and make snow balls! While his face may be serious, it is only because he is seriously concentrating on the ball in my left hand. Oh to be a Golden Retriever!
It really is a Charlie Brown Thanksgiving πΆ
Thankful and grateful to spend time with my boys today, and for our wonderful St. Paul community that we got to run and have breakfast with this morning.

Forever in Fairyland.π§ββοΈ
I am starting Thanksgiving week feeling very grateful. This production of Iolanthe, as many do, will forever hold a special place in my heart. It felt like a dream come true in ways that I have trouble putting into words (and this post will already be long enough, good grief). Thank you to everyone especially Michelle and Randy, our directors, and Stephen for making this happen. Here are some of my favorite moments:
- Making new friends and growing closer with old friends.
- Singing with a fabulous orchestra.
- My costumes. Thanks Bronson!
- Kelly always winking at me during Act 1 Finale.
- Mike Tober's terrific timing.
- Randy saying "oh she's pissed" to the orchestra after my cadenza in Act 1 Finale at Sitz.
- Eating lots of soup.
- Performing "Loudly Let the Trumpet Bray" for an audience of one (Eric Sorum) each night. The boys were pretty good, too.
- Timothy's faces. My GOD I had to sharpen my skills because of him.
- Eric and Jo's granddaughter getting her very own pair of fairy ears from Kelly.
- Act 2 Finale. Such joy, such rapture. I got very verklempt during the final run.
Thank you to the many friends, family members and coworkers for not only coming to the show but for also being highly understanding. Theater takes alot of sacrifice of time and energy and your support is deeply meaningful and moving.
And thanks to those two old white guys in the 1800s for still making us laugh today. But don't make me say it again, Gilbert and Sullivan!!!
Here are some Polaroids and phone shots and videos. Those who do not like whimsy need not scroll

IOLANTHE: a thoroughly charming production by @gsvloc with lead performances by @mike.tober@theresekulas@ericsorum@hannahpantano and @trujillosing The comic acting really captured the Victorian wit of the book, and a strong, committed chorus made for exciting ensemble numbers. Well done, all!
See it through 11/23! And catch YEOMEN OF THE GUARD in March!
I have had a BLAST being a swing for @mixedprecipitation this summer, and it was even more fun to go on as Ilia last night!
There are five more chances to see the Pick Up Truck Opera at a park near you, and everyone is outstanding. Keep Opera Fresh!!!
