The Replacements: loud, messy, and in a tiny bar. 💥 Hear one of their final club gigs, Live at Chicago’s Cubby Bear (1984), featuring the rare cover of "Help Me Rhonda" that Peter Jesperson says has "lead guitarist Bob Stinson's inimitable falsetto and backing vocals." "All day, all night, all music video." You know the slogan, but did you know that’s Peter Jesperson's voice yelling it? Jesperson lobbied hard for the song that became “Seen Your Video.” When Paul Westerberg had his lyrical breakthrough, he pulled Peter into the booth and instructed him to put on his "DJ voice" for the track’s iconic chant. The result? A classic born of spontaneity and hearty laughter.
