Today I turn 23 , I’ve learned more about myself and the questions I’m answering through my work this past year than any other period of my life so far . Unknowingly , I became more grounded in my process around further developing my visual language and being more intentional on the vulnerability, tangible qualities and reach to an audience that feels and sees just as much as I do. This year has taught me so much about time , and how to not constantly feel like I’m working against it . Its taught me about relationships and fostering inter-generational bonds . And most importantly it’s taught me that growth is a constant reminder to finding the through line of why I even do it all .
Here’s a short collection of self portraits from throughout the year , both symbolically and literally, that I’ve been consciously weaving into a story about my journey as an artist and my relationship to everything around me .
Much love ,

If you’re in DC my quilt, alongside many other artists’ work, will be on view at the Washington Hilton until April 8th 🖤
