Wintry ‘25 (2025) made this artwork for dear friend @thereinholder and the 2025 wintry mix posted on their SoundCloud. These mixes are a special tradition started over a decade ago and I have been fortunate to make mix art for several in the past, this artwork is important as it was how I coped with the Richmond water crisis and other winter grief. Either dissociative practice or channeling uncertainty about fires and water into something real. Life on earth is precious and I am inspired by communities of real people doing real things putting out fires and distributing supplies in relief. may music and art fuel the soul to keep moving towards alternatives than what surrounds us crumbling.
