We’re there in the lead up, checking in, calming nerves and typing typing typing.
We’re there on the day, measuring glassware, double checking, preempting, clocking.
We’re lighting the sparklers with our blow torches, and getting that piece of hair that’s stuck in your lip gloss.
We’re there at the end, leaf-blowing the confetti, scraping out the candles, and when it’s all over, we laugh over our little scratchies.
We’ve got a palette knife when a flower girl’s fingertip finds the cake. We’ve got a squeegee when it starts hailing 20 mins out. We’ve got a ladder, and a lot of Windex. It’s a big affair but we’ve got you.
