Throwback to shows of yesteryear. These days were fun but, these days marked the end of an era.
An era of street teams, stickers and flyers. Interacting face to face, handing people physical tickets in exchange for cash that you had to then hand over to the venue to get your cut. Some may say it was inefficient, but those people weren't there.
They didn't get to experience the journey of selling out shows ticket by ticket, friend to friend, house to house. Driving all over the damn county and more to sell tickets 2 at a time. Starting a conversation with a random stranger that leads to a potential new fan, a fist bump and another ticket sold.
I don't care how famous you are or how many tickets you sell online, nothing beats this experience.

So I've been running some Ad campaigns in Hypeddit lately and here's what I've gathered:
After several tests I landed on a particular video that seemed to perform well, so I started running continuous 2 week ad campaigns that I would renew manually every two weeks on the hour. The first 2 campaigns totaled about 20k views but minimal conversion into follows, plays, saves, etc. When I launched the 3rd campaign however, the views took off like a rocket within minutes (for some unexplained reason) and finished with over 30k view. Yet, still very little turn around.
Normally this is where most would cut their losses and come up with the next video to test. but I decided to try something else. I Noticed that for the first time the "learning" bar next to the campaign actually completed. (Potentially because of the larger audience the 3rd campaign hit) I thought to myself: "I wonder if this thing finally found its target audience?"
So I ran it again. A few days had passed and I felt regret start to sink in, if only I had changed something up. But then the weekend hit, 1000, 2000, 3000 views, and I'm like cool, at least it's pushing a bit, 10 likes, 20 likes, 30. Alright, at least someone likes it. I go to bed Sunday night with about 4k plays and 50 likes.
Monday morning, I wake up to about another 2k plays, but to my surprise over 100+ new likes and a handful of new followers across multiple platforms. The plays on this 4th campaign aren't nearly as high as others, but the conversion is starting to happen, and that's the important part.
So if there's a point to this rambling it's this: Test until you find something that works, then drill it with the same parameters until Hypeddit (or your ad managment tool) learns your target audience, then run it again and (with some luck) you'll see the numbers move!

Thank you thank you thank you! Every single one of you out there that either played or are currently playing my music! I didn't have a single song on Spotify above 1k plays at the beginning of 2026. Recently, I had 4 more break 1k for a total of 6 so far this year. I wouldn't say the grind has paid off, but I'm not complaining either!
Usually I start with the drums for my songs, but sometimes I only get a kick and a snare out before I start throwing ideas down. Recently started cooking this one up in that same maner. Please excuse the lack of an offical mix and missing elements,very much a still WiP
