CURRENT US POLICIES ARE DEVASTATING CANCER RESEARCH IN AMERICA.
For the first time in memory, the National Cancer Institute hasn’t issued a single research grant this fiscal year. Not one. While scientists are working to find cures and save lives, the funding pipeline that keeps lifesaving research moving has ground to a halt.
Think about what that means. Clinical trials delayed.Breakthrough treatments postponed. Doctors and researchers forced to shut down projects that could help millions of families.
Every day funding stalls is another day patients lose hope for new treatments and cures. America used to lead the world in medical innovation. Now that leadership is being thrown away, and ask yourself, for What?!
We lost yet another acting legend today..
He was widely known for his roles as Lewis Skolnick in the Revenge of the Nerds films and as Sam McGuire, Lizzie’s dad, in the Lizzie McGuire series and movie. His performances became part of many people’s childhoods and early movie memories.
Carradine also came from a legendary acting family. He was the older brother of actor Keith Carradine and the father of Ever Carradine, who is known for her role in The Handmaid’s Tale.
In a statement to Deadline, his family confirmed that he died by suicide and shared that he had been living with bipolar disorder for nearly two decades. They described him as a “beacon of light” who, despite his struggles, continued to bring humor, wisdom, and kindness to those around him.
His family expressed “ We hope that sharing his story helps bring more awareness to mental health and reduces the stigma surrounding mental illness, while also asking for privacy as they grieve this heartbreaking loss.”
RIP
