Coming up next weekend I have a few #texas shows coming up- I’ll play @rileystavern33tx to help celebrate the album release show of my good friend @joel_hofmann_band - I produced the record and co-wrote some of the songs with him too. Then I’ll play a few shows in #bastrop with @philhurleymusic and @therealpeppermintsanders and then close out with a show at historic @gruenehall - come on down friends and music lovers.

Tough to hear about the passing of my pal @bootsybuckles today. I hadn’t seen him much since he moved back to the east coast, but he was a great hang and talented musician.
I recall a gig we did together outside at The Blackheart years ago playing for a packed, crazy house. At least three or four different bachelorette parties happening at once. A group of girls gets on stage with us, dancing as we jammed a Stones tune. It’s July/August and hotter than hell, we’re roasting on a stage with no airflow and a chick decided she was going to take ol Buckles’ hat and wear it. His look of terror and her look of disgust & regret at putting on a nasty sweat soaked trucker hat were priceless. It was as if it happened in slow motion, and as hot and sweaty as I was, I couldn’t imagine swiping someone’s hat and the instant regret that would follow.
Josh & I did many gigs back in the day and also bonded over the passing of another mutual friend together. It’s strange, I was just talking with someone about him recently. My condolences to his friends and family, he will be missed.
