*Headphones 🎧 or speakers 🔉 recommended* On this tune for @inbarmusic the majority of the motion is coming from the mellow / dark programming underneath but my intention was to make it feel more human by layering on top of that with what you can see here in the video. The key (IMHO) was to get it to blend seamlessly which is both a balance issue (levels and panning) and a processing issue (wet vs dry, compressed vs not compressed etc).

What a surreal moment and an honor to be a part of @officialsarahmclachlan ’s tribute to @jonimitchell as she received a Juno award for lifetime acheivement. One of my all-time biggest musical heroes. All hail Joni!
Images and sounds from 2026 year so far. Played gigs with friends, swam a lot, worked on my hands, hung with the pup and tracked a lot in my studio - for all of that I am truly grateful. These days I’m trying to post only actual song takes with drums solo’d because most of the videos on instagram have a lot to do with drums and very little to do with music. Having songs to play to always brings things out of me I would never do otherwise.
I’m gonna miss playing the deep cuts from Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. Here, in order are the songs Hold On, Plenty and Circle. I had some audience video sent by friends and I synced it with the drum cam I take on my phone (my version of checking game tape).
A bit late in posting this little carousel. The @officialsarahmclachlan Fumbling Towards Ecstasy 30th Anniversary Canadian Tour is officially in the books as of a few days ago marking the end of something we started 18 months ago and an experience I’ll never forget. Traveling across my home country, playing great music with Sarah and this killer band in hockey arenas, watching meaningful October baseball on days off and seeing friends I haven’t seen for many years, all exceeded my expectations. Special shout out to @tinyhabitsofficial who joined us for the Canada gigs.

Taos drums doing their thing. They definitely inspire endless interesting melodic ideas. I would say probably don’t listen through a phone speaker because if you do you might miss the glorious low end coming from the goat headed bass drum and the lowest drum, far right.
What a weekend with Rita Wilson, the Nashville Symphony and our special guests @jacksonbrowne and Sebastian Yantra. Such a thrill to play with an orchestra of this caliber and some of my best buddies in the rhythm section. Here’s the Rita / Jackson duet on the classic Everly Brothers tune “Let It Be Me.” I’m working on a behind-the-scenes for the lead up to this gig that will be on my YouTube shortly
