Mom, how are you?
You surprised me again in my dream. For a moment I forgot you were gone, and waking up to that reality feels scarier each time. I lost my guide, my God on earth.
The last time I saw you, you were fighting so hard. My warrior, my backbone, my whole world. Life feels crazy now. Who do I talk to? I’m not the same person without you. I wish we had more time. I would do anything to have saved you, Mom.
Everything’s moving so fast. Time flies, and I lost you at 24. You didn’t get to see me become the man you always believed I could be. Some people fought hard to see you go, and they couldn’t wait to hear that you were gone.
But one thing makes me proud: whenever you called to ask for anything, I always came through for you. I always dia, Mom.
I pray God blesses me and grants me the desires of my heart. Amen.
