Highlight of the weekend was being gifted Sean Paul’s sweaty towel and touching his hand!!! OH AND I PACKED OUT @redbulluk x @daytimers_uk stage at BOOOOMtown (how the MCs say it) with a crowd who danced sang and smiled with me the whole way through 🫀💙💋
Boomtown, I love you 💕
JUMBIII you were SO much FUN
All time favorite venue! It was 2 degrees and I managed to pull people in from the vinyl room to the terrace so thank you for dancing with me in the cold 💋
I have terrible luck with recorded sets and it seems someone dropped the camera before mine so I played some Jumbi bits at radio and have added it hereee hehe 🙃

KIZZI N FRIENDS X DIALLED IN FESTIVAL

& we are bringing the sexiest lineup possible @therealiroyx@dholi_vish@shadobeni_
5-8pm Marquee Moon 30.05 🫨
see you in the dance x
I literally messaged @manaraaaaaaaaaaaa four years ago after seeing her play in Bristol saying I couldn’t get over her set and now I’ve played on her show 🙈
It’s been so fun working with the asian network team trying to sound less cringe on the mic - this is still a WIP
Across the takeover I’ve moved from soulful jazz and reggae into bass and breaks to a disco & global special (I talk about Bad Bunny) and finished off with garage & grime. I’ve never wanted to stick to one genre and I don’t think I ever will!
Listen back on BBC Sounds by searching pure spice. There’s also a sneak peek of my show with THE @panjabihitsquad on the last slide - it goes live this Friday
An eclectic night of live music and club energy, moving from stripped back performance to dancefloor bangers.
The evening opens with a genre-blurring live showcase. Yaz draws on her French and Palestinian heritage, weaving jazz-influenced arrangements through traditional Arabic sounds. She’s joined by Curser, delivering post-punk energy and Hilts, blending neo-jazz and soul, having started his journey within grime collective The Square.
As night turns to club, the tempo shifts fast. Bass pioneers Darama and yourboykiran go back-to-back for a heavyweight headline set, diving into grime, garage, 140 and percussive cuts built.
Support comes from ISHU, fresh from her Boomtown debut in 2025 and a recent BBC South Asian airwaves feature. After our headliners, we have Dance Practice residents Dream Pig and Reverie keep things funky, groovy and locked-in until close.
