The 2026 Bop City Records Community Music Fund was awarded to two very deserving winners: the band, Global Fake (Mark Hornich), and the concert promoter, Unstable Sounds (Tito). Both are supportive customers of Bop City Records that are passionate about music and our community.
Global Fake is a Vancouver Island indie rock band fronted by local musician Mark Hornich. Global Fake has just finished recording and mastering their first full-length album and will be using their Community Music Fund award to help fund the pressing of their album on vinyl.
Unstable Sounds is a Cumberland based concert promotion company run by Tito. Unstable Sounds has been promoting local and touring bands and solo artists since 2018. They also focus on hosting all ages shows. Unstable Sounds will be using the Community Music Fund award to help purchase some sound equipment for concerts.
