5 pound porcelain bowl, sprayed inside and just the rim of the outside with Aviva's Blue. Sprayed the rim on top of that with Caramel Yellow and then soda fired. Slight warping as I'm working on my large bowl technique but I love the pattern the glaze made on the inside of the bowl.

I've been wanting to experiment with sandblasting a vinyl cut template for a while and decided to do the classic Jimmy DiResta stamp 😁. I'm fairly happy with the results but as you can see in some cases the soda totally overwhelmed the stamp. Either way I learned something new!

Improvisation: made these as an experiment with a new mug form but had to travel and couldn't get back to the studio to handle them, so I made them into small plant pots with the usual glaze combo on the outside, but left unglazed on the inside. Really like what these did in the kiln.

This was an experimental vase that I made in @aaron_becker_pottery 's class. I started with a 5lb bottomless form and pinched it in to make three legs. Really happy with how this turned out.

I wanted to try something different so I decided to make a watering can style teapot. Again I'm not happy with thrown lid handles so I tried going with a gentle twisted handmade handle which I'm quite pleased with. The glaze is my usual Cohen's Red / VC Matte mix with a bit of Caramel Yellow around the rim and on the top of the list handle. I switched to using Aviva's Blue on for the inside of my pieces because I really like the deep richness that it imparts.

Big boy's little brother: this teapot got the EXACT same glaze as the last teapot, but was in a different firing and this is unquestionably my favorite result yet with this combo on a teapot. And the soda drip on the tip of the lid handle is 💯! They say that when it comes to soda firing, find glazes that not only look great when the stars align, but that are tolerable when they don't. This was definitely one of those "stars aligning" moments as much as the last teapot was a "didn't align" moment.

This is a big boy! 38oz teapot, perfect for those lazy Sunday mornings when you need ALL THE TEA. And yes, it is numbered 418, like all my teapots.
Cohen's Red/VC Matte combo with a splash of caramel yellow on the rim, Gustin Shino on the inside. Still need to tune my spouts a bit to drip less, but this one's a keeper.
