MEET THE FILMMAKER: AJ Lubecker (@therealestaj ) is a writer, director and stand up comedian based out of Los Angeles. He is said to, “Kill it with sharp one-liners,” by the Chicago Tribune, and described as “off-beat and intricate,” by the Daily Herald. He broke into the Chicago comedy when he started stand up as a 15 year old baby boy. He went on to have his own shows at The Laugh Factory, Nerdist Showroom at Meltdown, and more. Now you can find him performing with Branzino at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. His comedy videos have racked up over 100 million views across the internet, and his short films are said to “comedically attack in the most honest way possible” by Comedy Cake.
