There’s something about early April… things have a way of coming back around.
@therealcharnick invited me to an Easter gathering, at his good friend’s mom’s house. 🐣 And of course I overthought the entire situation.
Do I bring something? / Is this a “bring something” situation? / I don’t really know how to do Easter, but neither does he, right?!
I settled on bringing flowers for the host, naturally. 💐
Jason definitely did not think I needed to do that.
And … I absolutely did. 😂👌🏻💯
And, that’s us today. 🫶
I’m always “extra.” He always keeps it simple + sane.
Somewhere in there, we balance out and are still standing.
As a 2nd 1st date …
We’d taken a little break after the holidays… and reconnected in the most us way possible —
imperfect timing, my lost phone in Vegas,
and somehow still finding each other again.
I always like to come back to noting this day…
Spring has a way of bringing things back around that are meant to grow.
Not everything starts clean. Not everything is perfectly timed.
But sometimes you just choose it again.
The person. The life. The moment.
And then you keep choosing it.
