“Black Girl Magic” I called it —it was a study of form, of power, of transformation. Hair as architecture. Hair as language. Hair as legacy. How Black hair can bend, and command space without permission. Bold, sculptural and unapologetic.
Man we had a time building these looks, me running to every value village to find the pieces. Make up canceling on me so I had to do make up hair and direct.Those was the days when creativity was fun!!
