Bo Diddley - The 20th Anniversary of Rock ‘N’ Roll - 1976 - just gotta say….. if you don’t know Bo you don’t know Diddley! Ethas Otha Bates….. The Originator…. Bo Diddley. Bo Diddley was a musician, songwriter, singer, and one of the greatest guitarist of all time. He was a creator, the innovator when it came to guitar and his use of effects to enhance sound were the start of and influenced volumes of great music and many great artists. …. As did his play of blues transitioning to rock with a bit of rap and psychedelic funk. The design of his guitar was also something new and fresh and creative to everyone. This is an incredible album by one of my favorite artists that I have had a great time searching and finding quite a few of his albums and then this one! Packed With some incredible friends!!! Carmen Appice (Drums)and Tim Bogert (bass) appear throughout the album. And guest appearances are made by Elvin Bishop, Joe Cocker, Billy Joel, Corky Laing, Albert Lee Alvin Lee, Roger McGuinn, Keith Moon, Leslie West, and more incredible friends. On side 2 the jam has ripping guitars battling back and forth, incredible keyboard performance and banging on the percussion. FAN-tastic! Along with the album is a press picture of the great Bo Diddley…. Love those 2 shots of him. And an original 1st print postcard from 1967 by WS Henry for a show at the Avalon room with Lee Michaels supporting him. One of my favorites. A beautiful piece of art.
