Everything about this shoot was so exciting right from the beginning when @valerieduru made enquiries about her shoot... She told me she wanted an Old Hollywood Styled shoot but yet simple and classy.. Working on the mood board with her the following week was also a wonderful process... Getting all the pieces together we needed for the shoot was then the hurdle ... I'm so glad she was able to overcome and put all the final pieces together for the puzzle... @barrithecreator nailed the makeup look... The results were satisfying and fulfilling to look at ...

When she first reached out to me, it sounded like a simple job,
“Can you photograph my Dad? He’s turning 60.”
Sixty.
In my head, I had already painted the picture:
quiet, composed, maybe a little reserved… the kind of session where you guide every pose and keep things formal.
I was wrong.
The moment he walked into the studio, everything shifted.
Before the camera even came out, laughter filled the room. Not the polite kind,the real, contagious kind that makes you forget you’re working. He greeted everyone like old friends, cracked jokes effortlessly, and carried this warmth that instantly put the entire team at ease.
Right there, I knew this wasn’t going to be a typical shoot.
It felt lighter and Alive.
What we captured that day went far beyond clean portraits or birthday photos.
Every frame told a story of joy, of life fully lived, of a man who wears his years not as a weight,but as a badge of honor.
And as I looked through the final images, it hit me
These aren’t just photos of a 60th birthday.
They’re proof that age doesn’t define energy, spirit, or presence.
They’re a testament to legacy.
