Happy Friday, friends! What are your plans for the weekend? 👀🍂☕️ . We have decided this weekend will be for cleaning & reorganizing one of our bedrooms! It’s actually the room where we keep most of our books, so lots of dusting and moving shelves is in our immediate future. Do you ever look at your stacks of unread books and feel absolutely GUILTY for not having read them yet?! 🥹📚🍂 Sometimes I wish I could really drop everything and just READ, but life and responsibilities do get in the way!! But I am determined to read more from my tbr, particularly books that have been in our shelves for years. Like The Unspoken Name & Defy the Night which we have owned for a while now. How many books do you think you own? 👀📚🍂 Our dad just sat down and said: “you must own around 200 books, right?” which made us laugh because this shelf alone holds 100+ books. And we have 7 other shelves + an entire closet full of books. So yeah, a bit more than 200! 😂🫶 We really haven’t counted them to know an exact number, but I feel that one of these days we might create a simple sheet to track all of the books we own. What books have you been loving lately? 🍂📚☕️ It’s been a while since we’ve treated our shelves to new books so do give us all the recs. 👀📝 Books we have loved recently: Faking Your Mate and Other Recipes for Disaster, Shifters of Sherwood, Our Rogue Fates, Bloom & Blood, Because the Beasts Came, and Heir (still not done with it yet but am obsessed!!). Shield of Sparrows & The Starless Sea are also excellent reads but read them a while back! What is your preferred reading format? ☕️📚🍂 We love collecting hardcovers (they look so good in shelves!!), but for reading we absolutely adore ebooks & floppy paperbacks and that’s what we mostly read nowadays. 🤎 We do listen to audiobooks from time to time, but not as often as we’d like. 🥲 ___ #bookshelfie #darkacademiaaesthetic #bookishlife #cozycore

What are your plans for the weekend? 📚🍂☕️ It’s a foodie weekend for us due to mother’s day & today we’re eating all the junk food while we watch kdramas with our mom! 😍🫶 We actually haven’t had the privilege to celebrate mother’s day together for many years, so it’s an extra special weekend for us. 🤎 But we do plan on sneaking in some reading time! Do you like for your series collection to have matching covers/editions? 📚🍂☕️ I used to care a lot about having my books match, and would get extremely disappointed at cover changes (particularly mid-series!), but I no longer mind it… much. Idk, I just think it’s fun to have mis-matched series, they look so pretty on shelves too. But totally get if this is an unpopular opinion! 😂 Speaking of!! This week has been really good to us when it comes to bookmail because we just got a beautiful finished copy of The King’s List!! 😍 While the new cover does not match our first edition of The Never List, they still look so good together. 👌🤎 (Verity Guild is also new in our shelves!!) #bookflatlay #bookishthoughts #booksbooksbooks

Can’t believe it’s already in our hands, it feels as if it was just yesterday when we revealed the cover. The edges are also stunning!
