I’ve always been an awkward introvert. I grew up as a corny looking (thicccc AF) black chick, living in a predominately white community. I never felt like I fitted in or belonged. EXCEPT, when it came to athletics. There, I was a MF’n BOSS. 😎
Anyways, after school my brother and I would watch TMNT cartoons, play with our TMNT action figures, and when TMNT video games came out..?!! Omg, hitting Blockbuster to rent the newest TMNT games was like a holiday! Waking up at 3am to play TMNT on the NES before we had to go to school, being careful not to wake our parents. 😂. An unbreakable bond was created. 😌 I was not the awkward introvert with my brother. He made me feel “cool” that his older sister would play TMNT with him. 😎
So that’s how it started. My love for TMNT just never went away. After talking to so many of you TMNT fans , a lot of us can agree, TMNT was just one of those things that shaped our childhood. The cartoons, the toys, the movies, the comics, the games, the friendships, the memories….etc. All puts a smile on our faces and reminds us of simpler happier times. Although it started off as a joke for Eastman & Laird, it became so much more to me. And I’m just a chick who enjoys sharing that joy with you all. 💜💜💜
