Bringing the BASS from the Quad Cities.
Brian Johnson, aka The Pseudoreality, is an electronic music artist based out of the Midwest region of the United States know.
He first began playing guitar in 1997 and got his first taste of electronic music in 1999. He began producing in 2001 and the music brought him to his first underground party in 2004. The year 2026 marks his 20th year DJing starting in 2006, playing anything from drum & bass, to trance, techno, hardcore, breaks, and more. He has shared the stage with many artists in countless venues and festivals throughout Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Missouri, and Kansas.
Over the course of 2025 into 2026, he has been working on a project focused on external synthesizers, drum machines, and eurorack modules, leaving behind the world of production software and screens in exchange for a more hands-on experience. Forthcoming this spring, a new EP of full analog music will be released.
Today, you can find him playing live pa/dj hybrid sets incorporating live synth elements and drum machines to live vocals and guitar into his dj sessions. No matter what flavor The Pseudoreality brings to the evening, his energy is always above and beyond. This is an artist you will not want to miss.

I’m so excited about this show I’ve been curating around my desire to feature my good friends in @heathenmadjesty in a lineup. The creative vision put together for this show reflects a fusion of digital mediums, wild heathenry, and cosmic beauty. It’s an honor it has been working with friends and community to put this together.
We’ll have @art.lady@dudeitsrhi and @marissacardella doing live painting as well as featuring resistance art from a couple local artists and creatives as well. Come prepared to support local artists creating a night to dance the night away, a moment of joy to restore and connect us.
