🎵 jamLAB Clinic (Ages 12–16)
In partnership with Prophets of Music
Instructor: Mitchell Brady
March 23–27 | 9:00am–12:00pm | $300 | 5 days
jamLAB is a creativity-focused clinic designed for young musicians ready to move beyond learning songs and begin creating their own music.
The program is delivered in partnership with Prophets of Music and led by Mitchell Brady, one of our instructors at Cornerstone and the lead singer and guitarist of Jade Elephant. As an active performer and songwriter, Mitchell brings real-world experience from building original music, rehearsing with bands, and performing professionally.
Over five mornings, participants will:
-Collaborate and jam using a full professional backline
-Develop listening, communication, and ensemble skills
-Learn how to turn musical ideas into original songs
-Explore creativity and spontaneity in a supportive setting
-Receive mentorship and musical coaching
This is best suited for students who are already comfortable on their instrument and are excited by the idea of songwriting, band dynamics, and creative growth.

About Jade Elephant:
Mitchell Brady, Kyle Tenove and Taylor Miles are Jade Elephant: a Canadian rock n roll power trio with a massive sound and brother-like chemistry. Specializing in “doing it live,” the live show is what defines Jade Elephant. Every onstage moment is packed with spontaneity, intention, energy and passion.
Jade Elephant’s self-titled debut album is a testament to their live performance. Recorded live off the floor with Juno Award-winning producer Russell Broom, the intention with this album was to create something that captures the essence of that live energy, where the band thrives.
Recently, the band has been nominated for multiple YYCMAs (Group of the year, Rock recording of the year) and a Western Canadian music award (rock artist of the year) and has had radio charting success across Canada. (Notably #1 at CFUR in prince George BC and #3 at CKUA in Alberta)

About Brother Bicker Band:
Featuring Taylor Miles on drums, Jim Duncan on bass, Jeremy Hrdlicka on vocals and acoustic guitar, Tom Mogan on guitar and vocals, Ben Ellard on keys and newcomers, Jennele Coulson and Claire Wilkes on vocals, these seven friends and band mates bring a unique and refreshing take on the “roots” rock genre, best described as “maple whiskey rock n roll” - well-aged and a little bit harsh, it may burn a little at first. It has a touch of sweetness and is uniquely Canadian. And like whiskey, the more you indulge, the more fun you have and the better you feel....and if you have too much you just may forget everything.
This Thursday we have the @theashleyhundred returning to the Quinterra Stage from 7:00pm - 8:00pm
These events are FREE. Our cash tip box and QR code for online donations will be located near the stage. Supporting the artists is heavily encouraged, 100% of donations go directly to the performers. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy fantastic music in picturesque South Glenmore Park.
About The Ashley Hundred:
Since their formation in 2012, The Ashley Hundred has been constantly writing, stripping apart, and rewriting the songs of each of the band members. Continually growing as a band and as individual musicians. The bands first 2013 release, Postcards From The Moon, marked their firm arrival into the Calgary music scene, and brought them across the country on campus radio charts and on the stages from BC to Quebec. Soon after the release of their debut EP, Calgary veterans 36? approached the band to collaborate on a Split LP, which lead The Ashley Hundred to their first vinyl release, and first professionally produced music video made with funding from the Telus Storyhive grant. Their most recent Self-Titled release of September 2017, made with Juno award winning producer Josh Gwilliam and gold record holding engineer Spencer Cheyne was their most ambitious yet covering a vast sonic territory from bouncy psych-pop, to introspective ballad.
