The Post War

Our new single ‘Never Speak’ is out today. As with most things, some labour and some love involved. To be able to make these things with people that care… who avail themselves amidst all of life’s pull, and do it exceptionally is just beyond. To our long time engineer/co-producer/friend Shawn Penner - it’s a beautifully complicated alchemy pal… proud we got this one over. To our ace visual collaborator Zack, from the sandbox to surgery, you’re one of a kind and we love making art with you. Craig Alvin, you brought your incredible ear, generosity and sonic weight and we’re so glad to have your imprint on this. Ted Jensen, incredible as always. Thanks for allowing us to rest easy in those crucial end stages. Special mention to John at Afterlife for preserving & stewarding one of our favorite studios in the city. Setting up basecamp for a day or two is always a joy. Also to Allan a Big Al’s Backline for the premium thuds and vibes. We released ‘Anecdoche’ into the world two years ago today. Time is truly a flat circle collapsing in on itself. What a trip… One foot in the past and one in the future right now as we prepare to head back into the studio early next month. Look for a dispatch soon.
