History made.
We are beyond proud to announce that Vicky Pattison is now an official Patron of The PMDD Project: the first ever PMDD Patron in the UK.
We shared this moment live at our summit, with over 3,000 of you registered (!!!). A milestone not just for us, but for everyone who has ever felt unseen, unheard, or dismissed.
PMDD is no longer being ignored. It’s being recognised, spoken about, and taken seriously… Exactly as it should be.
And this is only the beginning. We have so much planned with Vicky, and we cannot wait to bring you along for what’s next.
Summit recordings and links coming soon. 🤍
if you’re new here, welcome 👋🏻 we are The PMDD Project and we are on a mission to break the barriers of PMDD, one cycle at a time.

A crisis toolkit: for when it feels like too much.
This will pass.
Even if it doesn’t feel like it.
Even if you can’t see how.
Dark thoughts lie. They distort everything.
You will not always feel this way - you are not alone in this moment.
as part of Mental Health Awareness Week, we wanted to share this spoken poetry submission from the wonderfully talented @rosalindfrost who shares her raw and honest experience of living PMDD 🤍
PMDD can make emotions feel intense, overwhelming, and difficult to regulate.
That’s why therapies like DBT are becoming increasingly important within the PMDD space 🧠✨
We’re also excited to share that Dr Ellen Lambert will be delivering a FREE DBT workshop for The PMDD Project community later this year.
More information coming soon 🤍

🫂 our support groups are continuing to grow across the UK, creating safe spaces where people can connect and realise they are not alone
support shouldn’t only exist at crisis point… you deserve connection and support before things feel unbearable
whether you’re newly discovering PMDD, navigating a diagnosis, or simply looking for people who get it, we’re here for you
find your nearest support group or access online support via the link in bio📍
this Mental Health Awareness Week, we’re shining a light on the link between PMDD, suicide and crisis mental health.
people with PMDD experience significantly increased rates of suicidal ideation, suicide attempts and self-harm, yet too many people are still being misdiagnosed, dismissed, or left without appropriate support.
throughout this week, we’ll be sharing:
* crisis support services
* helplines
* grounding resources
* educational content
* community support spaces
we’ll also be launching our suicide prevention strategy this month, shaped by lived experience and driven by the voices of our community.

Sunday well spent!!! Such a nice day spending time with some of the London PMDD community for a run round Brockwell park. & thanks to @brucanbakery for hosting us afterwards for some delicious treats 🥐☕️
TRUST me when I say there were some responses I just absolutely could not include in this video as they were too shocking and too triggering
This is NOT to slander all healthcare professionals, there are SO many brilliant ones out there but it just goes to show how misunderstood this condition still is

PMDD can be isolating, but when you don’t see yourself or your community represented in the conversations that are happening, it can be even harder.
@efia.o.m shares the reality of navigating PMDD as a black woman and why representation in women’s health conversations is SO important!!!
Full episode out soon - trust us, you don’t want to miss out on this one.
PMDD awareness is suicide prevention.
We recently partnered with @papyrus_uk - a
UK charity focused on preventing suicide in young people - to deliver PMDD training to their team.
In return, they trained us in suicide prevention, strengthening how we support our own community in moments that matter most.
We also want to say, while Papyrus’ primary focus is supporting under 35s, we know PMDD impacts people of all ages. No one should feel excluded from support, and we’re committed to continuing to build resources that support everyone affected.
Please do reach out to Papyrus if you are in need - they are a fantastic resource.
