The Plus Bus

We've loved being a part of your style journey for ten years, and we're so excited for what's next! Plus while thin may be IN again, FAT is where it's at. First off, we're officially ten years old – can you believe it?! And even bigger news: Marcy Guevara-Prete, who you've known as co-owner for a decade, is now the sole owner. She's ready to take The Plus Bus to even more fabulous heights from our little corner of York Boulevard, where we've been rockin' it for five years now. 2025 has seriously tested us, especially with the brutal fires earlier this year. It felt like everything was up in smoke, the air was thick and heavy, and so many folks we know were directly impacted. It was a genuinely scary and uncertain time for everyone. But what truly stood out was how fast our community, jumped into action. The Plus Bus crew didn't hesitate; we were focused on finding ways to support those hit hardest, because that's just what you do when your neighbors are hurting. We're really proud of how quickly we responded and did our part. Running a small, brick-and-mortar business, especially a niche one, in 2025? It's a wild ride, and definitely not for the faint of heart. Running a plus size store in the age of Ozempic???! "It takes so much heart and hustle," says Marcy. "But every single day is worth it when I see you all looking and feeling amazing. Now more than ever, little shops like ours need our community to rally. We want every single plus-size person in LA to know we're here, we get it, and we're ready to help you find clothes that make you feel incredible!"
