This is how I would improve my speed if I was:
- short on time
- no access to a gym
Completing these 3 things x2 per week for a MINIMUM of 4-5 weeks will 100% improve your speed and explosive ability.
2 Upper Body Exercises for Footballers
Renegade Row: 3x6 Each Side
Pull Ups: 3x6
These two exercises will help you build muscle in key areas of the body which you can use when competing in duals on the pitch 💪
Lower Body Power for footballers.
No equipment needed.
These are two of my favourite exercises. Simple but effective for improving jump height and acceleration.
Knee Drives - 3sets X 30seconds
Lunge Switches - 3sets X 20second
My football journey has been slightly unconventional.
But the one thing I will remember for life from it is those coaches that left a positive impact of me.
I can guarantee you that you can almost instantly think of the coach / mentor than has had the most impact on you as a player.
I believe having a good coach & mentor will be the single most important factor in your development.

Leave the crunches alone and focus on training for football.
Palov Press - 3 sets X 12 reps
Med Ball Side Slam - 3 sets X 6 reps (each side)
