Today we’d like to thank MTV Live and their segment Metal Thrashing Madness for airing, Next by The Phoenix Within these last couple of weekends via Cable Vision TV services.
Musically Next is a metal track packed with wild, brutal, and energetic musical dissonance, angst and chaos. The song was written after learning that there were over 300 mass shootings across the United States in 2023 and 2024. The realization that gun violence is a standard fixture in American lives became the fuel for the lyrical context behind the single, Next. This song challenges listeners to consider the real-life possibility that they could very easily be the next victim of a mass shooting.
This moment is something that as an independent artist I’ve dreamt of for a long time. The guys and I would like to give very special thanks our family, friends and fans that have supported us along our musical journey through the years. Please note that your support never goes unnoticed.

We’ve had to make some changes on our previously announced run dates. Unfortunately Houston, TX will not be happening due to the aftermath of hurricane Beryl. We wish everyone there the speediest of recoveries as they get back on track.
