Righhhhht folks, there's gonna be tonnes of posts coming up all over social media with all the epic, big and wonderful things people have achieved and done this year, which is just fab!
But, I think it's mega important to equal it out with some reminders of the small (but suuuuper important) stuff too! 🌈
If you did any of these this year, you abso smashed it (part 1- as I may do more of these, it really helped my huge creative block I've been having the past few weeks!)
Friendly reminder to go really easy on yourself and be as kind as you can. You deserve it 💖

The human experience isn’t shared equally. We carry different stories, different weights, different perspectives. What looks small to you might be heavy for someone else. Be kind. Be kind out loud. Be unapologetically kind.
Say gay AND trans because even if some people treat us as taboo, we will always exist. Queer people deserve visibility, support, and respect. We are all human. We will not be erased.
Marsha P. Johnson’s remarkable life-story, her gay & trans liberation and AIDS activism make her a defining figure in the LGBTQ+ rights movement of the 20th century. Marsha P. Johnson was a Black trans activist, community leader, and revolutionary voice who’s courage helped start the Stonewall uprising and fight for equality. Her advocacy for trans rights, and her lifelong commitment to protecting unhoused queer youth continue to shape modern queer activism and global LGBTQ justice movements.
At The Phluid Project, we’re proud to have collaborated with the Marsha P. Johnson Institute to support Black trans empowerment, community protection, and real systemic change. Through our work with Phluid and the Phluid Phoundation, we continue carrying Marsha’s legacy by uplifting queer community care, gender-free fashion, inclusive design, and intersectional activism.
TRANS RIGHTS ARE HUMAN RIGHTS!
It seems that some people need a reminder.
There is no room for transphobia and hate here.
Remember that silence is complicity. Speak up for your trans friends, neighbours, colleagues, family.
Trans folks are humans, just like you. Wonderful, magical humans 🏳️⚧️💖

I was born to love you. ❤️ Thank God for lesbians. One of the reasons that the L is now first in LGBTQ is to honor the crucial role that lesbians played during the AIDS epidemic. Doctors and family members turned their backs on gay men with AIDS, lesbians didn’t. They stepped up. No matter where you land in the LGBTQIA+ alphabet, please remember that we are all community. 🌈

Trans and Two-Spirit people are not new, they have existed for as long as humanity has existed, and they will continue to exist long after these moments of backlash are remembered as stains on our history.
Today isn’t only about grief. It’s about what we do next.
Support saves lives. Use someone’s name and pronouns. Stand up when they’re mistreated. Believe them when they tell you who they are. Small things make a real difference.
Nearly one in five trans and nonbinary young people get no support at all. That’s why community matters. Chosen family matters. Someone has to be there.
If you are transgender, two-spirited, nonbinary or gender-diverse: your life matters. Your existence matters. Your safety matters and you’re hot🏳️⚧️🩵
