Mr. Ball was my high school art teacher and he continues to share ideas and art with me even now.
Thank you for equipping me with the tools to develop the knowledge to challenge systems and ideas that work to exclude and diminish my perspective and experiences as a Black woman. Your urgency in making sure that I understood the importance of this even as a young teen is still moving.
While visiting the city/country for one single day in Sept. 2019, Mr. Ball surprised me by attend the opening of the @agmengage “Emergence”group exhibition that I was participating in. I’m so grateful for his ongoing support of my art journey.

𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐:
Tennille Dowers, who also goes by the street art name of "LIME," is a Trinidadian-Canadian visual artist and emerging curator. Working primarily in aerosol, oil and acrylic paints, she explores themes around the Black diaspora & home, representation, and visibility. Her work often examines how objects, textures and styles often transform in meaning and perception when race and gender inform contextual parameters.
