This “off season” held more than I expected, in the best way. January took me through Italy, Austria, and Germany, soaking in new places and perspectives that always seem to shape the way I see and document moments. I also had the honor of stepping in for a photographer friend, capturing two weddings while she welcomed her first baby into the world. There is something deeply meaningful about using this skill to support others in both big and quiet seasons. Speaking of babies, I’ve photographed five newborn sessions already this year. While weddings remain at the heart of what I do, I do take on a limited number of portrait and commercial sessions each year, and I’m looking forward to sharing more of those stories here. Instagram has always felt like a beautiful space to highlight the work, but it isn’t the heart of my business. It’s simply a window into it. So truly, thank you for being here, for following along, and for caring about these moments. I’m easing back in by sharing a glimpse into Sierra and Bryce’s October wedding, a day that felt like everything we love about fall in the Midwest. The quiet sound of leaves underfoot, a soft breeze (actually very windy) carrying laughter across the fields, and an evening rain that made the glow inside feel even warmer. Their day was sweet, full of joy, and such a reflection of who they are together. The kind of celebration that centers on presence, connection, and the people who matter most.
