Are you ghost? Or are you friends with a ghost?
I got so pissed making this video because I’ve at some point disappeared for almost 5 months but my OGs were all in the know. Everybody knew I was hibernating and taking time to figure out life so there was no tension or confusion. Just space.
And the ones that I didn’t tell, it was coz they didn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things. They didn’t even notice I was gone. Which was also fine.
What I don’t think is fine is ghosting your close friends and family without proper communication, then get mad when they stop caring. It’s a very very selfish behavior and if you do it, then just stop.

✨💭Oreva’s Perspective:
🟡One of the most pivotal moments in my career that significantly influenced my professional path happened in 2023. I was working in an advertising agency as a copywriter, however, one of our clients was in desperate need of a content creator, and being one of the only female staff at the time, I was immediately asked to step up to the task. At first, it was scary as it seemed like more work (I was still handling my role as a copywriter) and I had almost no idea what to do, but somehow I made it work. 2years later, I now script, create, and direct content for brands. I am still a copywriter, however, now,
I have a clearer vision of my career path.
🟡One of the challenges I’ve faced in the workplace is being underpaid.
I believe it’s because before now, I used to think that my employers were doing me a favor by hiring me instead of it being a mutually beneficial arrangement.
Over time, I have built capacity and made an impact in every organization I’ve worked with. This has boosted my confidence in my abilities and has made me unafraid to demand better pay for the value that I bring to any brand.
